Hi, I'm Amber Luci

Welcome to the Amber Luci Project, a unique place for you to explore, that explains how I've managed to cope with medical issues related to Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type 1 (MEN1), pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer, autoimmune disease, chronic fatigue, joint & muscle pain, and anxiety resulting from all of the above, and living my life to the fullest while doing so!!

I'm a firm believer that no one should feel that a diagnosis is cause to just give up or feel stuck and unable to make improvements in how they feel.

    About Me

As a wife and mother, I have the most important job in the world and I take it very seriously, always striving to be the best version of myself that I can be in order to help my loved ones be the best they can be!

At the tender age of 13, I was diagnosed with a very rare, hereditary condition that would lead me to have thousands of medical tests and several surgical interventions over my life. Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type 1 affects the genes that turn off production of cancer cells, leading to a high susceptibility to develop tumors in different places all over the body. I was 27 years old when the admin person at the clinic told me over the phone "Amber don't you know you have cancer?"

This diagnosis, and the diagnosis of Celiac disease in the earlier part of my life has lead me down a path looking for root cause & natural healing methods. I'm not saying that I do not use cutting edge medical treatments, but after many, MANY years of going down the allopathic model of care, I found myself taking so many prescription drugs and nothing was getting better, only temporary symptom control that that model of care can offer. I decided to look at new ways of managing my chronic ailments and have found so many things that I can do to make myself feel better and support my body to heal itself in some ways. I'm not saying that I will ever be cured, but knowing that I can take an active role in controlling how quickly my body degrades is very powerful!

I have always had a very high drive to seek out information. My mind is exhaustingly inquisitive and in many ways, I regret not pursuing a degree in microbiology many years ago. Instead, I opted for a career in design that allowed me to learn about the value and interconnectedness of fine details that must go into good design. The human body is one of the most amazing things ever created and I'm on a path to learn more how it works each and every day!

It's a journey that has brought me peace and joy and that is why I'm sharing my story with you.
